Practice Academy Partnership

With PAPA, the LORE Research Group supports long-term care facilities in putting knowledge into practice effectively.

Swiss University hospitals can serve as a model for successful collaboration between research and practice. In PAPA, advanced practice nurses with a dual profile (researchers and APN-CH) support long-term care facilities on site—evidence-based, person-centred, and close to everyday practice, guided by the motto: “From knowledge to action.”

In PAPA, together with our clinical partners, we explore:

  • How do we integrate person-centred knowledge into everyday care?

  • How can we strengthen teamwork?

  • How can we shape collaboration with family members?

Our goal is to move from knowledge to action.

Our actions

  • Turning knowledge into action: empowering long-term care facilities to integrate new evidence sustainably into daily practice

  • Strengthening teams: building team trust, enabling vulnerability, and taking (shared) responsibility

  • Deploying APN-CH nurses: making impact visible
    Securing reimbursement: via interRAI LTCF
